After a huge OT win over the Terps Lacrosse Club last week, Navy moved atop the DI All Pro President’s poll and now has sole possession of the #1 ranking, securing all 9 first place votes. At 7-1, Navy Club is looking to stay perfect against Chesapeake Conference competition as they finish their regular season with games vs. Loyola and #3 Salisbury. The Terps Lacrosse Club (7-2), who has endured OT in 3 out of their last 4 games, check in at the number two spot and will host the Beltway Bash this weekend in College Park. The Terps will battle Syracuse tonight and have games with #20 Cincinnati, #13 Vermont and #8 James Madison on the books for tomorrow. The event at the University of Maryland will feature 7 NCLL DI teams and 12 teams from DII.
In DII, Akron improved to 12-0 and earned enough votes to take the top spot in the DII All Pro President’s poll from West Chester, who fell to the #2 spot. Only 18th-ranked Bowling Green stands between Akron and a perfect regular season. While there were no new entries in the DII poll, Providence at (7-0) continues to impress and moves into the 10th spot. The Friars close out their regular season vs. BU this weekend as well.
