The National College Lacrosse League is forming a team to participate in this year’s Shootout for Soldiers event in Baltimore, MD on June 20th and 21st.
According to the SOFS’s web site….
Shootout for Soldiers is a 24 hour lacrosse event benefiting American veterans.
The event is fun. It’s not a tournament or about recruiting.
The event is all about supporting those who serve our country.
To date, the organization has raised over 2.5 Million dollars!
So, we are looking for players to strap up and play alongside League President Jamie McNealey and media guys Paul Woody and Tom Huppmann at this summer’s Baltimore event. Our team has a modest donation goal of $750 for the entire team, which I am sure we can easily surpass with just a little bit of effort.
Once we have met our donation goal, we will be given our game time slot which could be anytime of day or night. This event is a continuous 24-hour lacrosse game, so be prepared to play at 3 o’clock in the morning if needed.

No one can explain what SOFS is all about better than its founder, Tyler Steinhardt. Check out this short video for a better understanding of what this event is all about and whay the NCLL is behind it.
Not close to Baltimore? There are SOFS events in 13 cities nationwide. Check out their full list of games and events on the SOFS homepage here, and keep us posted if you plan on participating!
