The United States Naval Academy garnered the top in this years Preseason Poll after going undefeated in 2019. The Cadets also return National DI Player of the Year Connor Young. Young bagged 40 goals in 2019 and returns for his Senior year with the Midshipmen.

After dominating the D2 bracket in 2018, the Providence Friars make the jump into Division I this season. Returning DII Player of the Year Jack Cahill will be the prime target for most Friar opponents in 2020. The Junior amassed 39 points in a mere 7 games last season for the Friars.

Towson, Penn State and JMU crack the preseason top 5 after looking very strong at the 2019 Fall Brawl a few months ago.

A few big questions for 2020; Can Salisbury get back into the top 20 after a very strong season in 2018? Can Fairfield’s offense carry them back to the top 10? Will Loyola compete in the crowded Chesapeake Conference? Can Syracuse, Cortland or Cornell give Albany a run in the Empire Conference?

Cant wait to dig into all of these questions and more and get the season rolling!! Look for our initial Podcast the 2nd week of January where we will review both preseasons polls, talk some fall ball, introduce some new teams and touch on a few interesting off season stories.

  1. It’s 2020 now and the Mids went undefeated in 2019 to win the Division 1 Championship. Connor Young had 40 in 2019.

    Did I miss a year?
